Seed and Growth

The seed of yoga culture was sown by Swami Satyanandaji in 1956 during his parivrajak days. He frequently visited Bhilai and inspired to open and develop a yoga culture and thus Gyan Darshan Yogashram came into shape in 1977 as Yoga Niketan.

Seva (Social Service) is an act of compassion and care for others above oneself. The Bhagavad Gita encourages selfless service as a way to develop spiritually. Gyan Darshan Yogashram aids to under-privileged children with this vision
